A more individual approach to your child’s health
Many parents who come to see me are looking for a different approach to their child’s health.
They may be concerned about their child repeatedly needing medicines such as antibiotics, steroids or other medications, particularly for problems that keep returning. Others simply want to explore whether there are additional ways of supporting their child’s health while keeping medication for situations where it is genuinely needed.
Homeopathy offers a very different approach — one that looks at the individual child and their overall pattern of health, rather than treating each symptom or episode in isolation.
I have worked with babies, children and families throughout my 30+ years in homeopathic practice and offer consultations face-to-face in Devon and online throughout the UK.
Looking at the whole child
Two children with the same diagnosis may experience it very differently.
As well as understanding the main problem, I want to know about your child’s general health — their sleep, appetite, energy, digestion, temperature, sensitivities and temperament, together with anything significant in their medical history.
I’m particularly interested in patterns: when a problem started, what was happening around that time, what makes it better or worse, and whether apparently separate health problems may be connected.
This detailed picture helps me choose a homeopathic remedy specifically for your child.
Why do parents bring their children to me?
I see children with a wide range of health concerns, including:

Homeopathy can also be used alongside conventional medical care. I encourage parents to seek appropriate medical assessment and treatment when needed, particularly when a child is acutely unwell.
What happens at the consultation?
With babies and younger children, much of the information naturally comes from the parent, while I also observe and interact with the child.
Older children and teenagers can become more involved in describing their own experience.
Appointments are relaxed and unhurried. Once I have a clear picture of your child’s health, I select an individual homeopathic remedy and arrange a follow-up to assess what has changed.
